This topic was listed on the OLD NLG - did not want it to go away without thanking whoever gave me the "TOWER LIGHT" might be the problem - well - YES IT WAS!!. thank you and GREAT KARMA to the NLGer who provided that fix - else I would be up to my armpits in wire harnesses.

the ground wire was attached but I disconnected the tower and no more blown fuses - installed another tower - all is well - not going to spend time finding where the short was in the old tower - it is on the way to landfill.  thanks again.

THATS GREAT beats pulling the pwr supply and mother board out .. you will find one down the road
that you will get so frusterated ..then end up pulling pwr supl& mother board & find a token or coin stuck to the circut board or a pile of coin grindings ..
i found on low denomination machines nickel /quarter you fnd more grindings on the floor of machine than on high end machines
makes sense !!i litteraly had two TEA SPOONS FUL of grindings of the backside of a mother board on a s+ upright off a cruise ship it was a 5 line triple diamnd nickel machine with a 87%?? payback chip that had seen it day gulping money in ..

p.s. see now Barry your not a >V < anymore working on a s+ vs the old ballys
