Did you use any 2x4 frames inside the stands?

*** WARNING ***

Oh...PLEASE be careful !!!!
It looks like that whole line will tip should all 3 handles get pulled at once!

I'd seriously think about bolting them down to the bench and perhaps also making sure at
least one of the bolted machines gets attached somehow to a wall stud behind the machine.

That set-up looks so dangerous!

looks can be deceiving. trust me, this bench can probably handle double the weight it already has. only way those puppies get down would be if someone tried to tackle one. i promise to take pics if anything does happen! that way you guys can tell me "told you so"!!  wave

I don't beleive they're doubting it's holding capacity. Sounds like they're worried about the depth of the table. I beleive regulation slot stands are around 24" deep. The framework under mine is similar to yours, but I used a 7 1/2' piece of countertop for the surface. Used 2x4 frame under that and eight 4x4 legs to hold it up, all bolted together with 7/16"x4" lag bolts doubled on every joint. I parked my wifes CRV on it to test it yes

mine has 2x4 framing underneath along with a strong base. the 4x4's on the end are vital for me as well.  i would've loved to go 20-24 inches deep but didn't have the room for it... i appreciate your opinions/warnings. i understand this isn't the strongest bench ever made but it's much better than what i had b4. i wouldn't dare take pics of that and post it here. half of NLG would grill me, maybe even kick me outta here!!!  frying pan

Don't scare the guy to death, he gave me instructions and dimensions to make that for him. It includes a 1.3 degree reward pitch to move the center of gravity of each machine behind the center line of the bench. If you look at the picture you can tell that each machine is reclining against the wall already. What you can't see in the picture is he also installed a retaining assembly to each machine (duct tape to the wall, in layman terms).  As a safety back up system, he has his bed in front of them and if they topple over the springs in his mattress will catch them and propel them back into place.  DannyG804 is a pretty big guy, he might me a tad over 435 lbs, I doubt he would just sit there and watch them fall with out doing anything about it.  I saw him bear hug each of the 3 machines himself and set them down on the bench.

I think you are under estimating his weight by about 20 - 30 pounds.

I am definately NOT critisizing. That bench looks strong as hell, I'm sure it won't collapse:)
