1492 and 1493 Ceronix Monitors - where used lists????

Does ANYONE have a listing of monitor models and where used??   and to go deeper - if such a list exists - what are the mods needed to interchange??

great site - but does not address my issue sorry to say - the 1492s I am using in a PRO VIDEO (V5500)  colors are all wrong - not the chassis as they were repaired by Ceronix - I THINK all I have to do is reverse some YOKE wires - but I am not sure - hence - ASK FIRST!!! thanks

The issue that people with the PE+ Centroix 1492 have been having when connecting up to a regular LCD monitor is that the picture is reversed (not upside down) and the colors are inverted. There has been much discussion to use a Hex Convertor to invert the signal etc. So far no one has easily cracked this puppy.

I think the problem you are having is that the unit you are using is putting out a conventional signal and supsequently your picture is inverted (backwards picture, inverted colors).

The changing wires on the yoke is a different issue. I think the picture was upside down as depending on which system the monitor is installed in the mounting-chasis is mounted to the top of the monitor vs the bottom. By changing the order of the yoke wires they could flip the picture on the monitor without physically taking the whole thing apart.....the word inverted was meant to mean reverse or upside down vs the true meaning of inverted color/picture issue.

SO I think that moving wires will not help your cause.

found the answer!!!!!  there are JUMPERS on the 1492 chassis for BALLY!!!!!  now I have to find them and activate them.

Conversely the 1493 would probably give you a similar picture (inverted colors) in the PE+

It would be good to understand the electronic differences between the 1492 and the 1493 so we could duplicate the inversion stuff so we could use a regular monitor.

I am sure the two monitors are close enough to each other that the added circuitry would not add up to much.

Nintendo used monitors that would look the same if you hooked a JAMMA game board to their pesky Sanyo EZ-20 monitors.

There are plenty of circuts on the web for inverting the inputs to the monitor. You may be able to adapt one of those.

You can download the 1492  service manual from Ceronix here  - http://www.ceronix.com/manuals/XX92_Service_Manual.pdf
At the end of the manual it gives you the CPA card link setting for the various manufacturers. Have not tried this personally but it should do the trick.

thank you - made that comment in earlier post - the schematics in the back of the manual give the various applications the 1492 chassis can be adapted to -  I assume the letter suffix is just a revision code rather than an application.  Once I saw the schematics in the manual and matched them to the back of my various 1492 chassis - became very clear which machine/application the chassis was last used on.  Nice thing about the Ceronix - you can get them FIXED for REASONABLE - AND - if they can't fix it - they REPLACE IT!!!!

yes they will fix them---  correct the apparent problem ,  if you want additional work done to the chassis  e.g.  recap while it is in for repair  you have to specify that .
