I heard that there are plastic cash boxes for the WBA units but that they were expensive. Why would someone want to use plastic over metal and the advantages??

I heard the plastic ones were to be used as life preservers in the event of an iceberg hitting the hull of a cruise ship.  arrow

Yeah, and as an advantage, you would have some canloads full of money to use on the deserted island that you wash up on! Crazy rotflmao bust gut laughing

Now back on track... I agree with what Poppo said, plus the plastic ones can be configured with the Intelligent Cash Box feature. With this feature the cash can has information in it that can be downloaded by placing the cash box on a reader. Nerd

Actually they are just tougher and don't bend up when throwing them on carts like the Metal box does, if you have a hard time getting your metal box in your game you know what I mean with the tabs bent by the gears at the front entry, they are not just cheap plastic but some tough jap stuff, before these came out I bought New WBA boxes by the pallet and sold several cases per month to same operators every month, after these were released no more cash box sales in quantity, they are way lighter as well, not as hard to push the cart to the count room, eliminates help in a large operation

JCM List Price is $70 on the 600 note non icb box (standard) we get $35 per box (new) or $30 per box by case of 6 if anybody needs some

The blue cash boxes are lighter, have a handle  & you don't have to fight to install them.
The U.B.A. are also nice because the right side of the Chassis, moon shape, is  missing on the right side.  Only one pin on the left side is needed to seat the cash box.
The Cash box is Heavy Duty. It has to be under a Casino environment.
