Just got a game king and monster mansion i game . After cleaning all that i could reach inside and out . I slid  out the  monitor and its pretty dusty back there . Can i blow this area out with air and be safe of damage to the machine . I see the high voltage warning on the tube  lightning bolt lightning bolt lightning bolt. I don't care about me I will heal knockout. i just don't want to go of the way of non washable reel strips like i did when i first started with the reel games  Duh! Duh! THANKS for any help

As long as you do not try to touch any large caps or
expose any of the heavily insulated red wire going from flyback transformer to the side of the tube
you should be ok.
a vacuum cleaner can also be used with a vacuum attachment
do not touch the monitor chassis with the metal hose end.
The High Voltage is stored in the caps and between the anode and cathode of the tube.
Anode is on he inside of the tube, the red wire going to the side
The cathode is on the outside creating a very large capacitor that carries 20-40 thousand volts
IT is enough to kill you.

You can also use electronic component cleaner and spray board just do not try to use a towel to help scrub anything, less of the components you touch less likely you will get a dangerous shock.

I deal with 1492 and 1493 CRT monitors at my work... I use dry towels and compressed air to clean them...

If it's jammed, force it... If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway...

Modern day monitors are self discharging when the power is turned off.  If it was possible to get killed by a monitor I would be long gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh and don't get the idea that if you break one it will blow up.  Old ones I hit the neck with a small sledge hammer, slight hiss and then I beat the crap out of it !!!!!!!!!! ( Cut my thumb once )

If you're worried about stored voltage in the CRT you can always attach a clip lead to the shank of a screwdriver and the grounding strap on the back of the tube then just poke the tip of the screwdriver under the cup of the hv lead on the tube. Discharges damn near immediately if there's anything there to discharge.
