I just change a 5 reel machine to a 3 reel machine and it was working fine. I then swapped out the 5 reel/9 line deck out for a standard one and am getting a message that reads "Closure MB, 7 segment display mismatch.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

I am guessing you changed the VFD / LED bar behind the glass to another one?  So is the new one the other type, such as  6-5-5 to 5-5-5 (I think thats the combo size but forget), you need to change the display type with a key chip and there are only 2 types to choose from.

will I have to clear the machine before the keychip or just put the keychip in, wait for the 2 amber lights to come on, then power down and put the SB back in and go from there?

no clear, just key chip needed.  Chip in wait for the amber shutdown and put base back in, leave door open when booting

got it going, thanks. now here is my delimma:

The control panel that I removed was for a 6-3-3 display, this one that I installed is for a 5-3-3, now I don't have a plug to plug into the display part that shows coins played and winner paid. Am I stuck with this now or is there some type of modification to get that part of my display working?

Thanks,

David

sounds like you're missing the 7 seg plug.  it should still be there since the 5 reel and 3 reel both use a 7 seg
