Can I Put this topper on a Bally 5500? I know that I will have to drill new holes, is there enough power to add this?  Scratch Head Help

Yes you can add it, and yes the machine has enough power to run it.  There is usually some kind of plastic or metal base to go between the machine top and topper, that I don't see in your pics, but you can probably fab something that will work.

There are probably specific harnesses from Bally that will plug right in.  Maybe someone else can get you the part numbers or the harnesses themselves.  If not it's not too hard to just tap into the power that you need from somewhere on the game.  That is usually what I do, and then make up a harness.  Just break out your multimeter and check around in there.   arrow

Actually there is a plate, must be the angle of the picture, I believe this was on a 6000 at one time. Will check the plugs unless someone has tried this before, any help is welcome, thanks.

Does any one have a wiring diagram for this topper?

Hi,
For chaser lights leds, you need 5vdc (4 to 6 = OK) : Red (blue stripe) is + , Gray (red stripe) is -
If the backlights are leds, you need 24vdc (18 to 25 = OK) : 2 wires each , Yellow (blue stripe) are + , Gray (yellow stripe) are -
You can use power adapters or plug J20 on the backplane if you have the good voltage outputs.

Hotrod,
J20 is a 20 pins connector at the bottom right of the backplane board, just below the jackpot relays (S6000 series).
The voltage outputs should be checked for the S5500 model.
Otherwise, you can use 2 power adapters for your topper, one for 5vdc, the other for 24vdc.
Hope this helps !
