Hello Gurus,

Having issues with DVB-200 in my slant top. It seems in all my efforts to get this working, I've created more work for myself.
Two of the 6 wires soldered to the lighted face plate have come off at location E4 and E5. Obviously, I have some solder points to clean up. Can some on tell me the proper wire for each of the two locations? (Ie. Red wire to E4 and orange wire to E5).

Thanks a lot in advance..

Thanks Blueridge! Btw - all parts came in and installed no problem. Just trying to DVB up. Darn thing will cycle but won't take bill. -'ve enabled it 10 times now. Anyhow, first thing first. Let me get these wires fixed. I may ask that you send me a new face plate. Let's see how things go today.

Thank you for the info.

Soldering complete! I ran the set chip 15 to ensure 9_1 enabled with denom set to 25. Dvb cycles once, stops, excepts no bills. Face plate is not lit but I can see green bars and red leds on inside. I'm gunna followthe psr to ensure that it is indeed enabled. I'm going to be lost after that.

OK folks,
I followed the PSR for this SP0731 game and determined that the DVB is indeed enabled. I checked the dip switches on the DVB and all 10 are set to off. As spoked before, the DVB does power up and cycle once then stops (good right?). All visable wiring looks in tack with no chaffing or cross connects that I can see.

I have green bars with red LED lit up inside the DVB so its gettting power. Something else is obviously the problem.

Well Folks,

It looks as if I may have found the problem which was in the wiring connectors between the dvb head and transport (right side). I swapped transports to id the problem then swapped the wiring set.

It now takes $1s, $10s, $20s but is extremely selective on the individual bill. Could this be a something to do with the optics within the transport or other?

One other note, my face plate no longer lites up displaying it is ready to take a bill. No biggie, I can replace the face plate later.

It all depends on how it is acting. If it just spits it back out immediately, it could be dirty optics on the BV head. If it's making a lot of noise cycling the bill, it could be a belt issue in the head or transport. They tend to get slick with age and don't always want to pull the bill in

So clean the head optics with a q-tip and warm water (no alcohol). I use a product called Belt-Ease found at any automotive store or Walmart for the belts. I spray a little in the can cap and use a q-tip to treat the belts. It works wonders. Do not spray it directly on the BV unit and don't get it in your eyes.

The head may also need to be calibrated. But one should try cleaning first.

Thanks Poppo,
It does not spit the bill right back out. It holds it and cycles to pull it back but reverses to only to spit it out. I'm thinking like you the transport belt is worn and needs some reconditioning. That's for the heads up on the best product to use. I'll get back to you you.

Be sure to clean the gunk off of all of the plastic rollers too.

Success! That belt conditioner did the trick. Thank you Poppo and Blueridge. Now all I need is a florescent bulb and I'm 100 percent.
