We have a Bally Alpha that has lost communications with the Mikohn controller, we have swapped out everything, even the kitchen sink to fix this issue still no go,  hissy fit I even tried to run the controller on the game next to it and still nothing and vice vs, the game next to it would not allow the game in question to come out of the loss of progressive error, I have checked the cables and they are good, any help would be much  applause

Start with the power. Make sure you are getting voltages on all the inputs.
I assume you are talking about a ChamII+ ?

Assuming this is good.....From there you would progress to the main power input on the board and make sure you don't have any cold solder joints or burnt parts.
If you remove the board from the machine, and smell it. Does it smell burnt ? ignore the tobaco smell I am talking freshly smoked. if so look for burnt resistors or scrs.

Hopefully some of the more skilled electronic folkscan jump in here.

Inside of the Mikohn may be a fuse...I'd check that....maybe you got a power surge and blew it?
Can you post a pic or 2 of the mikohn controller? Are the LED lights lit up when you power it?

That's the thing we have replaced the Mikohn controller and we are able to get it to come up but game just will not see the controller  Scratch Head it's just driving me  fruit, the controller is a CON2 controller along with this we have tried 3 boards with this Bally alpha elite game.

I 'm getting the feeling that the CON2 isn't receiving data input from the machine when you play a credit.
Could it be that the CON2 isn't set up correctly?
I'm hoping this info I posted may help you>>>
