I have the S+ Manual and am trying to understand how to do a hopper test.  Page 4-3 says to press the self test button to page thru the various tests - well I never get to see the 12 in the winner paid window.  The table (4.1) shows great tests but for some reason I cannot seem to get the codes as indicated.  Can someone elaborate or better yet - set up these tests so others can do them?  thanks.

It has been a very long time but I think you go to 3 in coins played window and press the spin reel button.

EDIT ... turn the jackpot reset key??

Right.

The test before the hopper test is the LED test. All of the LEDs will display "8". At this point, press the white test button twice to get to the hopper test with "3" in the coins in. Winner Paid will show "0". Pressing the spin should count out 10 coins.
Note: After the first press, all of the LEDs will cycle "0","2","4,""8," etc.

Again, SOME chips only allow you to get the hopper to count out 10 coins when turning the reset key...
this is true for the newer chips....
On the older chips, all you gotta do is press the spin button...some chips allow you to hold the spin button to continuously spit out coins from the hopper.
All of this is done only with the door open though.

You're looking at "Sequence 3" which is on page"0" (a zero"0" is displayed in the "coins played" window)
You really need to look at "Sequence 12", which is on page "3" ( a "3" is displayed in the "coins played" window).

There's no "12" in the "coins played" window, it only goes up to "9".

All of this is on "Table 4-1" "Self Test Mode" in the copy of the "Field Service Manual" that you have...

or in the manual's  chapter 4, page 4.

no, hit the spin button and ten coins should come out.
IF you have a newer chip, then turn the reset key to make ten coins come out of the hopper.

Forget about the "12"
