Hi,
I  received a couple boards but I'm not quite sure what they are or what they do?
Anybody have a clue? Maybe for display meters of some type?
The J63 header is 5-pins , while the 2 blue J64/J65 headers are 20-pins each.
These boards were made in 1995 by IGT. With ASSY NO #7510710.
I've attached a couple of photos...click on them to enlarge them.

The small black connector plugs into the 6wire (?? I think its 6) molex connector in the top box. This is both power and interface.
The edge connectors go to 1 or 2 of the behind the glass progressive displays.

If you look inside your top box, on the left hand side, there are usually 4 screw offsets that match the holes on the board perfectly.
April probably has a couple of the displays around.

I agree these may be progressive driver boards too...but for what?

The connector on the S+ is 6-pin...these boards are needing  a 5-pin connector harness.
I'm thinking that maybe these were revised boards?

Now I'm wondering what the wire color pin-outs are in S+ top box harness.
I may have to modify these board headers to make them work....but I don't know what's what in the J63 header.

The first photo is the 5-pin header board in question.
The second photo is the mini-photon progressive that I use (note the short adapter harness that connects to the top box harness from the 6-pin J63 header)

That short adapter harness wont fit on the mystery boards.

That mystery board is either S or S+ slot progressive driver.

It has the same parts as the Player display (they added 3 or 4 chips to drive a full 16 digits) while the player display only has to drive 9 digits.

I took a few minutes to construct a short adapter harness, plug it in and it worked!

I actually used a couple of pieces I had laying around...I noticed that the white 15-pin molex in the top box is the same as a harness that would be on the door for a 13V coin mech.
I soldered the correct 5 wires from the large 15-pin molex into the 5 female receptors that come from a small black 5-pin female molex connector. ( I prefer hot soldering rather than crimping.)
Then it was easy to plug the 5 wires into a small black molex according to edski's great link.
3 nice tight plastic ties later, and voila...a new adapter harness !

Yeah, I didnt want to short out the progressive board when I plugged it into power! rotflmao
I find little sticky velcro's give enough space and will hold the board in place later onto the top box floor.
