I'm pretty sure on the only S machine I ever owned Stat Freak used a Test 1 2 3 to clear the machine.

That was the day I meet David, I don't know if that was my lucky day or not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Duh! Duh!

I believe clearing an S machine is kinda like clearing a S+ machine....there are VERY FEW, if ANY, times you would need to clear it. All the S+ machines we've worked on, I can't remember ever NEEDING to clear one. Clearing one in hopes of fixing an operator error is another thing (like using 10mhz SP chip on a 16mhz board, and other ignorant mistakes). Did the clear help? Not a bit...Nothing did until the REAL problem was fixed.

I know people that get a game in and the first thing they want to do is clear it. Why they do, I'm not sure. We avoid the work of the clear and setting the game up all over. Just fire the game up and let it "tell" you what, if anything, is wrong.

Edit: Sorry if this sounded pessimistic or negative, it just irks me when people jump to clear a machine that's not working. It wasn't aimed at you, David.
