I just received my 3rd S2000 a Triple Diamond Heywire and it is not like any heywire machine I have ever seen. what I mean is there is no reel movement ( the back and forth of the reels) before the reels travel in differant directions and the sounds are not right.
My ? is what are the right game chips and DVS for this game. I pulled out the MPU only to fined that do all simm DVS 42.
Thanks.
Frank.

Welcome to newlifegames frank104!  applause

What SBxxx and SGxxx GME 1&2 chips are in there now?  Scratch Head 2
Can we see a picture of your award glass?
I want to make sure it's not a different version of the Triple Diamond Haywire game.
Also, is it a 2 coin or 3 coin game?

Remember, the more you can tell us - the better we can help you.

Frank  First off I have never had a Triple Diamond Haywire, but I've had a couple of Double Diamond Haywire and a bunch of Double Diamond Machine I've turned into Haywire.

I have always used a DVS 42 and get the reel movement back and forth before the reel spin when the machine Haywires. This is going to sound as crazy as people think I am, but the sound simm will effect the reel action or lack of. I think I would clean the simm contacts with a pencil eraser. Or if you have another DVS 42, try it. If you do nothing else try reseating the simm.

Bunker he has the correct SB and SG chips.

I agree with Buzz...and yes frank104, your chips are correct from the lists I looked at.
Buzz is right about the pencil eraser cleaning trick too...It should help a lot for the sounds.

For some unknown reason, if the DSV00042 SIMM sound stick has dirty contacts - it causes weird things to happen.
I think it's due to a slightly off installed SIMM sound card in the slot on the MMLBII...>>>
If the card is ever so slightly pulled out on one side, the contacts are making
intermittent contact within the socket itself and those particular SIMM pins
are needed most right when the game starts it's "Haywire" mode.

The slots on that board SIMM socket are supposed to line up the pins but
I've mistakenly installed a couple slightly pulled out to one side - thinking I had it fully inserted into the socket.

When installing the SIMM card into the slot of the MMBLII, make sure the card is fully inserted all the way
before pushing it downwards to lock it onto the metal clasp retaining pins.
You can check for correct installation by looking at the little holes in the silvery rows of circuit board soldering points -
they should all look like they're on the same line on the edge of the black plastic receptor socket.

Frank   Just a wild guess, but when you set the sound options as I recall there is a option for Haywire enhanced. I always set enhanced so I don't know what it will do if it's not set.

Yoeddy1 had one of those games installed once...
maybe he might have a clue what's up with yours?
As far as I know, your game is SUPPOSED to Haywire with the reels spinning in opposite directions with the sounds.
Go ahead to about 1:09 in the youtube video clip to see his machine "Haywire"...>>>

OK 3.2.6.7 Heywire Option not visible, that would explane it but why is this option not showing up.

You have to make sure there are no credits on the machine.
You also need to press the little white test button to get into the options -
some people turn the reset key but it doesn't highlight all the options.

If the option is STILL not highlighted, does it ask that you need a keychip to change the settings?

By the way,  "Haywire" is spelled with the letter "A" - is yours different?

Bunkier  Machine doesn't care if it has credits or not when changing sound options.

I went out to a Double Diamond and turned off Haywire sound option. If it made any changes I couldn't tell. Sounds the same way it did before I turned it off. ( I only got it to Hayware once.) The reels did act the same way as Jason's video.

Frank do you have a different MM II sound board you can try? You might also try reseating all of your chips on the MPU.  I don't know if the Version chip will cause this problem or not, I always use a VS011GX1

I did press the reset button to access the options menu if I'm reading the PSR correctly the Haywire option should be under the multimedia menu that is also no visible

Frank  Tell me which Version chip you have and if I have the files I can burn one and put it in my DD and see if there is a difference.

Here again I have a Double Diamond and you have a Triple Diamond, are we comparing apples to oranges. I don't know. OK I can burn a Triple Diamond Haywire chip and see what happens.

Frank  Look at the pins on the Bad MPU and see if one of them is bent.

Glad it's working,
