I have a DBV 200 in a IGT S+
The head is flash type at Version 2.40.
The head passes all standalone test and calibrates good.
However in the machine it has a very low acceptance rate.
The same bills that pass and are accepted during the test will be rejected.
The bill will pass the head and then be rejected by the transport. When the bill is returned it usually folds up and gets stuck between the head and transport.
It may be slipping on the belts of the transport?  Scratch Head
Has anyone found a method on improving acceptance?
The bill are not new, but then again not ratty soft cloth either. Just you average bill that will be accepted by a WBA.  muted

OK, I now have it fixed.
Software and hardware was good.
However a power supply is not just the power supply. It also supports the RS232 connection between the machine and the head/transport.
Changed the power supply with a new one and all is well again.

The head would accept the bill, the transport would hold the bill pending a response via the RS232 from the machine to give the command to park the bill in the cash can. That signal was not being transmitted to the transport with the old power supply. It would just time out waiting on the response and the transport would return the bill.

Moral of the story is:
If you have good hardware and software try changing your power supply since it's the conduit between the machine and bill handling equipment.

Great posts Neon!  applause
I'm glad you were able to get you DBV to work right!  yes
I saw your post last nite but I don't know beans about them other than to never clean them with alcohol based cleaners
and just use plain soapy water and Q-Tips.  Tongue Out
