OK, just finished replacing the battery and clearing and setting the credits/denomination/bill validator on my S+ Double Wild machine.  It was fraught with peril but I'm pretty much out of the woods.  The machine is working once again thanks to this forum.  BUT, the reel sounds have been de-configured.  The dip switch (#3) on the board is correctly set for full sounds (including reel sounds), but it must be turned off in one of the zillion settings.  And of course I have no idea which one.  The machine speaker DOES make sounds for coin insert, bill insert, wins, payouts, and now reel stops (for the first time).  Just no 'musical' sound when the reels are spinning.

ALSO, and this is a big plus as far as I'm concerned, The handle solenoid no longer clicks when the reels stop.  YEA!!!  I've always hated that.  Instead I get the click sound from the speaker as each reel stops.  I'd love to know what THAT setting is because now I also want to get my Double Spin 5x Pay to do the same thing!  I configured my S2000's to do that.  Since the S2000's actually have a text display, it was easy.  Gotta find out the magic numerical settings on the S+ to do the same thing.

THANKS in advance for your replies!!!!!!

Hi, Dean.

You have two choices for sounds:

1. Reel spin sounds with the handle solenoid clicking for the reel stops, or...

2. No reel spin sounds with the speaker generated stop sounds (and no clicking).

Those are the choices on a S+.

If you tell us what SP chip is in your machine, we can walk you through the settings.

Here are directions on how to determine the chips in your machine: http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/SPSS.htm

Found the page 0 setting: Optoin 2 - set it to a 1.  Thus "2  0" into "2  1".
Also, what's (page 0) option 8?  I also had to set that to a 1 for the coin & BV to work right.  But I don't know what it's for.
Thanks

As noted in the other thread, typically option 8_1 is bills always to credits. 8_0 is follow the cash/credit button. 8_2 is make change.

Psst.  Tell us what SP chip (and SS chip) is in your machine and we can get you some documentation.
