What machine theme do you have? Is it multi-denom capable? What is the current Accounting Denom setting? The clear and key is all you need, but depending on what you have you may not need to clear it because the denom you want is higher than the current denom setting. Generally you only have to clear a machine if the new denom you want to set is lower than the existing denom.

used the clear chip procedure and got denomination changed to $5.   Now display is showing "call attendant, Machine type mismatch, closure M".   Not sure what to do next. Scratch Head

It is working now.  I installed key chip and changed machine type from unknown to upright.
