Welcome to NLG CHIEFMIKE. wave

First, let me say that I don't know about the V2000, but the battery is most likely the RAM backup battery, and is usually located on the MPU board. This board is usually mounted in a frame and removable. It might be mounted horizontally just below the monitor and would pull straight out. It might be in a cage, or not. The cage might have a front door, or not. The battery is usually soldered onto the board and will need replacing. Most machines also require a clear after a battery change.

Please take this with a grain of salt because I don't know your machine. In any event, make sure that the power is OFF before you pull the board. You can verify the state of the battery by reading the stated voltage on the batt and checking it with a multimeter to verify that it is low/dead. The most common voltages for slot batteries are 3.6v or 3v.

Hopefully, someone who knows your machine will post shortly.

the battery is mounted on the 2nd board of the 3 board stack.  Usually you can get by the message my turning bit switch 6 off - the bit switch is located on the top board towards the left rear.
