Changed game and did the Set015, but no code appear on front window

Well, we're not sure but the error code [62-1] is certainly telling us so.
Why buy something if you haven't checked?

One way to check is to install them in another known working machine.
You have another machine right?

Take the chips off of that board in there and install these to see if they're any good.
You'd like to see if you get past the [62-1] and light up the display windows on the other machine.

If these chips don't work in that cabinet - then I'd say you can place a WTB (Want To Buy) ad in the Classifieds section of NLG and hopefully someone will spot it and get in touch with you.
All you'd have to say is that you're looking for SS7246 and SP1271.

I really don't think BOTH chips are bad!
It's just possible one of them is bad or you wiring to the display panel or the display panel itself is cooked.
You need to narrow it down first before you go shopping.

Swap the display panel into the known good machine to see if it's the display panel or not.
Swap stuff if you can to check out stuff.
If you have a reader/programmer...tell us the checksum number and we can verify if it's right.
But most people don't have the tools.
You're lucky you have an extra machine to do some swapping to narrow it down.

Your post saying that you could of possibly installed it backwards could be the very reason for the [62-1] error code. That's why Jim thinks it could be fried.
Good thing it's only a chip but not both of them?
Who knows what you did really.
Chips don't cost much anyways.

OK, I found another set of proms ( I knew i had a spare set somewhere),and put them on my other MPU board
So now when I boot up i get the"61" displayed in the winner paid window
I press and hold the white test button until you hear a "Ding"and the 61 1
I close door completely and turn the jackpot reset key one time
 the 0 coins played and the insert coins alternately go on and off 3 times , then the winner paid goes back to 61
I have tried several times and same result, i have made sure all doors and closed tightly.
Ideas?
Please dont say i am going to need the Set015 prom, as i tried the one i had and i get nothing in the windows(i probably fried it earlier in the week by putting it in wrong)

Since you have a SP1271, I would go for a SET90 instead of the SET15 as it will enable more options on the SP1271 if you should ever want to.

Understand that those are two separate chips -- the SET15 (or SET90) will enable the bill validator.  You'll also want a RAM clear chip to be able to deal with the 61 loop issue.

The SET090 is one of the latest SET chips that were made for S+ before that platform was killed.
It covers a lot more SP chips than the older SET015.

To further exaplain, some of the options that could be set in self test mode on earlier SP chips require a set chip on later versions. On the SP1271 for example, there is a bill to credit option that first must be enabled with the set chip before you can change it in self test mode. Also if you want to use some of the SAS options or progressive options with the SP1271, you need the proper set chip. A SET015 will enable the BV and set the denomination, but that is all it will do. The PSR for a SP chip will tell you what SET chip(s) are needed.

For the SP1271:

IGT utility program SET088, SET089, SET090, SET091, SET101, SET102, SET116, or SET121 is required to configure options for this version

Some SP chips can use multiple SET chips but need a specific one for certain features. For examle for the SP1048:

IGT utility program SET058 is required to enable/disable the bill acceptor, enable/disable the coupon capability or the SAS Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) option, modify the denomination, and modify the standalone progressive option.  SET076 can be used to set all options except the coupon capability and the SAS EFT options.
