Who does repair on the WMS 1.5 plus boards? I have one that has a intermittent issue. I sent an email to MRJim,I heard he works on these boards. Is there anyone else?

Did you check out Ozzy's list.
WMS had a problem with the processor chip not being seated all the way in the holder and would cause intermittent problems.

I pulled the cpu out of the socket and replaced it. I think it has a cold solder joint somewhere on it or a bad XU 3 socket/Cpu socket. The board works good when it works The board was in another machine same issue.

SpinInc in Miami will fix any slot machine board for a flat fee of $90

The way to test that is send them an email....if they respond - you're in luck

Or you get lucky like me and order once with some slick talk. Of course, when I tried to order again, they mentioned the "oversight" of having failed to obtain my DOJ with the first order (which fortunately, had already shipped) and when I told them that I didn't have one, I was informed (politely) that they wouldn't be filling any more orders for me. Tongue Out

Rick Hunter explained the situation a couple of years ago. Florida law is worded such that any part that comes out of or that goes into a gaming machine is regulated. The wording doesn't exclude anything -- even glass, which was all that I had ordered. Weird laws down there. Even in Nevada, anyone can walk into a store and buy slot glass. Many people frame it and put it on their wall. That's what I told Spin, Inc. that I was doing with the glass, but it didn't change their policy, or Florida law.

It's too bad, because they have a huge selection.
