 LONDON, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT) took top honors at the 2009 International Gaming Awards in London, England on January 26th at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel. A panel of 23 international judges comprised of top international gaming industry professionals including casino operators, journalists, manufacturers and analysts picked IGT as the best Slot Manufacturer of the year. The International Gaming Awards were held in conjunction with the annual International Gaming Expo (IGE).

According to the 2009 International Gaming Awards website the best Slot Manufacturer was judged to be "the Slot Manufacturer that has consistently and decisively dominated the Slot sector during the year." And the judges were looking for the manufacturer that had "the reach and scale to set them apart in this competitive market" as well as "originality, brand identity, marketing, usability and scale."

I can't believe it - I was in a new casino with all new games and I absolutely hated the IGT models.   I think that Bally and WMS had much better machines.  Just my opinion - but when it comes to getting my dollars it my opinion that counts!

Makes a home owner slot person like me want to grab the cheap wooden plaque from their hands, run it through a wood shredder, throw a big rock through their mercedes benz door window and sprinkle the wood chips all over their plush carpets and leave a nice note saying " Have a nice day, thank you for all the tremendous help and support you guys have given me over the years with my S+".
