it still gives you something a ticket and in a state where all slot machines are a no no  i would want to waste the $$$ fighting the state,

Isn't that the way some states operate anyway? You get a "voucher" that can then be taken to the prize booth for a toaster, jewelry, or whatever you choose?

We live in a fairly small (under 20,000 population) kind of rural town and a few years back, one of the oldest businesses in town, a furniture store, was busted for having skill stop machines. The local Barney Fife didnt care they were token only. If it had 3 reels and a handle, it was gambling. Could they have fought it, yeah, and they probably did. Needless to say, they didnt have them back out on floor for sale...
