Hey guys,

So I picked up an S2000 jackpot bell and am in the process of installing it.  The first two photos reflect what RB's installation looks like.  Essentially, a connecting cable with one yellow wire and one orange wire, and the end on the bell with one black wire and one red wire.  You can see that RB's bell is installed close to the slot handle on the inside of the machine and the connecting cable with the orange and yellow wires is also on that side of the machine.  The mounting studs are obviously over on that side of the machine as well.

The remaining photos reflect the inside of my machine.  Keep in mind my machine started out as a Big Times Pay (3 reel + bonus reel), but is now a 3 reel so maybe the walls are different inside.

As you can see, I don't have any studs to mount the bell by the slot handle like RB's shows.  Any ideas where other locations would exist?  Also, I don't see a plug with a yellow and orange wire on that side of the machine.  As circled in my photo, there is a plug on the other side of the machine, but it has two orange wires and one yellow wire.  Is this it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Hey guys,

I figured it out.  There was a spot that accomodated the bell in the center of the wall.

Once installed, in the menus there are options for it:

1.  Off
2.  Mechanical Bell on All Pays
3.  Mechanical Bell on Handpays Only

Here's a video of it.  Brings back some nostalgia of the old days.

The jackpot bell in the S2000 just kinda stutters.  Not super loud by any means.  I suspect that's normal.

Jason

Actually, the bell's "stuttering" sound can be adjusted.
I think it's a flat headed screwdriver for the solenoid.
Adjust it so that the leaf springs are slightly closer together to get the ringer to really ding that bell dome!

Took a look at it...what are you suggesting to adjust?

I see the springs, but nothing in terms of adjustment.

I think that bell was loud enough as is.

You might be able to adjust the bell but I doubt it will help.
I am not sure if you can adjust the tension to where the clapper is pulled back all the way and still give it enough force to give maximum volume.
Also if you get it too tight the solenoid wont pull it at all.

The S2000 bell is designed to work off of 25V DC that is pulsed on and off by the machine
The wave form is square wave AC (but does not cross 0 volts)

If I got one I would have to restrict its use to 9am - 9pm.

Cool...good info Foster.  I just decided to leave mine as is.  It really isn't very loud at all.
