In the interest of fair play Buzz, I disagree. This guy did buy huge amounts of stuff at the Ceasar's Auction, including several WMS and Ballys conversion kits. I watched a lot of the auction online. Had I known software was included I might have made arrangements to attend the auction myself. They didn't mention software in the descriptions.
The auction was huge, several days, a warehouse full of stuff, and they even sold a Mercedes. So he may very well had spent a lot of money.

Yeah, the polygon topper sale looked like he was trying unload useless shiny boxes, maybe he figured we knew how to make them work.  Being the nice guy I am taking a wait and see attitude.

Have you met Steve?  Have you seen his warehouse?  Unless Caesar's is kindly holding his items for him, from what I saw, you've seen all of his "slot crap" (his words, not mine).  Have you read his posts?  I think Buzz is 100% correct.

Good luck with anything you might buy from him.

Raymond That would have to be a different topic, " COUNTERFEIT Members Only " comes to mind.

Now you gotta give credit where credits due, in his last altered personality he's been playing nice.  Clap Clap Clap Joeys words not mine " he plays nice he stays, he Fucks up he's gone "

No I have not met Steve, I see you did and gave him a big thumbs up and then turned on him a few days later. What happened there?
Have not seen his "warehouse", but I did just read a lot of his posts plus others. He definitely is a mess! Does not know the first thing about slots and slot parts and does not care too. And not much customer service. Nada!
He did state just what his motive is and, in a nutshell, that's reselling what he has bought as fast as he can without taking the time to make kits complete because, IMO, he doesn't know what complete is and won't take the time to figure it out. "Screw it" is what I believe he said.
Starts out thinking he has a gold mine and quickly realizes what a headache it is.
So his NLG name Junkman1 fits him well. He belongs on eBay selling his items and not on this forum, I agree.
I understand his style, his type, and I think he was straightforward about it, maybe after he was called out, but was straightforward.
As he said, read the fine print, as is, what's pictured, no refunds, etc.

Sure makes us appreciate the sponsors/dealers we have here!   yes

Uniman, you know I don't have a beef with you.  I will admit that I was surprised at your post that you disagree in the interest of fair play.  That's like defending the new health care website despite all the reports that it has problems.  That's okay.  You don't have to heed mine or anyone else's warnings about Junkman.  You can take your own "wait and see" approach.

I'm not going to post the details of what happened in my case as I have settled with him via email.  I will admit that me and two other locals (both are NLG members, but are keeping quiet) have had bad experiences (plural) with Steve.  I meant it when I wrote, "good luck with whatever you buy from him."  That was sincere.  Junkman does get positive feedback on Ebay, so maybe you will be one that has a good experience.  Thus far, I haven't met or heard from anyone on this site who has.

As for the toppers, I was genuinely trying to find a way to make them work because I bought one.  I even sent Steve an email of the thread so he would know my progress.  It wasn't to help him sell, it was to help fellow NLGrs who might want one.  Despite Steve himself, he does have items of value.  Unfortunately, I kept running into dead ends with Suzo Happ.  Until someone comes up with an alternative, his toppers are a project, not a solution.  And I agree with Buzz that Steve will continue to post 100% fiction about those toppers going to auction, selling a ton of them, etc.

I'm proud to say that I'm banned too!  But only after I swore I wouldn't buy anything from him and admonished him!

Dave, no beef here either. I didn't read most of his posts until last night. Some people just rub some folks the wrong way and that's what I thought was happening. After reading the posts I see there is much more to it. Not much of a salesman, this guy.
As far as selling those toppers at public auctions, I believe him. Ever been to public auctions? Most are full of idiots who buy junk for lots of money. Especially in Vegas, it seems. Used to find some deals back in Mich. at some auctions, but the few I've been to in Vegas have been outright crazy!
As far as selling toppers to casinos, ah I don't think so!
The post where Jim at Betterslots was trying to get him to advertise correctly or get all the reel strips for a "complete" kit was a real eye opener. Here you have one of the most professional, reputable person on NLG trying to talk to the polar opposite.
So, ok I'll say 99% fiction.
