Hello all,

Have a somewhat puzzling question.  Got me a triple diamond haywire machine, I noticed the small wire that connects the bottom tray speaker to the connector in the bottom of the cabinet was missing, well being a person who loves sound I was able to round one of those up and plug it in.  I still don't seem to be getting any sound out of the bottom speaker, top two working like champs.  Anyone have any obvious ideas?  Do I need a special sound board that will allow that bottom speaker to play?

Thanks in advance for any ideas,
Mike

you shouldn't need anything special.   for starters you will probably need a MM  sound card and simm card,  then you will have to trace the wiring harness.  up in the left top portion of the machine, in the corner, where the wiring harness terminates into connectors that will transfer all the plugs into the top box.  you will see the plug that goes over to the sound amp board,  below that connection you will see two pigtails with two wires on each plug. they are green and white.  one is connected , the other is not.  the one that is connected should go all the way down to the bottom speaker.

the MM and simm card plug into your main cpu board (side opposite the LEDS and switch)   there should be two standoffs and two plugs.  Plug the board into those two connectors secure with two screws.

then you have to get into the menu and enable all the Multi Media Audio sounds.  I looked at my list for sound cards simms for your game, I didn't find anything, so maybe a DVS 0042  will work????

Hope this helps

You don't actually need a mml board for your bottom speaker to work even though it does sound alot better especially on a haywire I would get a DSV42. If every thing looks to be pluged in try hooking up a different speaker to it.
