What does each of the batteries on the main board do?  Not sure why there are two.

the round coin cell battery is the CMOS battery the green battery is for the tattle tale system it keeps track of things like door open and cash box being removed even when the power is off. On older boards it's safe to remove the green battery.

On the newer enhanced boards all of the game chips sit on a daughter board. Any board before that should be ok.
