Hi Slots!

I'm not a real reel expert, so only my humble opinion ... if you're confident that you can resolve the error, then it would be a good resale item since it's considered "antique" and therefore, can be sold on Ebay.  May make a quick profit.  But, it is old and if the board is burnt up, that could be hard to replace/fix.

Since you're in Ohio, I'd consider buying from the NLG folks in Ohio.  They have products that are near perfection and you'd be getting a newer machine.

Just my two cents.

That is an old M model slot.  They can be finnicky, but seem to run well when they are up and going.  Had a bunch years ago and enjoyed them.  Not a lot of value there, likely a 250.00 machine when all is working well.

That's a M series machine.
In my opinion, they were really well built, but had their issues like any other platform.
Last one I repaired had the same tilt message. A battery replacement resolved the problem and you don't need any special clear chips like the newer machines.

Also the chrome and colors on the older machines was MUCH better. That chrome is super thick and will shine like new forever. The color in the reel tapes and glass, I have never seen it fade.

The one issue with these machines, is the kicker for the reels. They had a fiber roller the would wear out over time. They can be replaced with a bearing that is 1/4" I/D  1/2" O/D and 1/4" wide. This repair will last the life of the machine.

Good luck and keep us posted.
