I got such awesome help so quickly, I thought I'd put another question out there...  Nerd

My second slot purchase was this Double Diamond Run in a Vision cabinet, but Mike actually prefers the regular S2000 version of this game because the bonus plays on the stepper reels, instead of on video.

Am I right in thinking that I can obtain the chips & strips for that game and disable the LCD to convert it?

Thanks in advance to this super group! It's fun to be a slot owner.

The glass for the non-vision version will be different also, but switching to that isn't overly difficult, just a matter of finding the parts. Reel strips MAY be the same for both, software will be different. And regardless of which no video theme you may switch to, the video scrren can bee unplugged and removed for the conversion. There may be some wiring issues involved if you don't have backlit reels and wanted them on the new theme as some vision cabinets weren't wired for that. So I guess the simple answer would be that you can do it, just takes time, parts and money

Fantastic! That's just what I wanted to hear. These are going to be projects for both of us.

Thanks so much for the info,

In the picture it looks like the machine has backlit reels (the cherry on the second reel).

I'm moving this to the S2000 category where it belongs.
