I think the bottom board is for troubleshooting, sort of like a post code board with a com port.  I haven't looked at mine for a bit, but that's what I thought.

Thanks,
Wayne

I'm not aware of a set chip, only an all clear chip, the settings should be accessible after the all clear has been performedby doing the following:

Accessing Service Menus
Open the deck door and place the deck door and bill acceptor
service door cherry switches in the down (closed) position. With machine
power on, actuate the RESET keyswitch.

Several game options are available to the Operator. Access
the Service menu. Select the SETTINGS sub-menu icon

Following is a list of available settings.
BILL VALIDATOR CONFIGURATION (enabled or disabled)
BUTTON CONFIGURATION (5/9 coins wagered per line)
CABINET SOUND VOLUME (door open, for example)
DENOMINATION OF COIN (factory preset)
DENOMINATION OF CREDIT (factory preset)
HOPPER MAX PAY (max pay before forced hand pay)
IDLE MODE DEMO MUSIC (on or off)
IDLE MODE DEMO TIMER (idle time before entering attract)
IRS LOCKOUT ($ amount before forced hand pay)
MAX CREDIT ALLOWED (no coins/bills accepted over max)
(Wins exceeding the MAX CREDIT ALLOWED setting require attendant pay)
MECHANICAL METER CONF. (see appendix)
MUSIC VOLUME (game music volume)
GAME SOUND VOLUME (game play volume, like reel spin)
TOWER CONFIGURATION (see appendix)

Thanks,
Wayne

This info is in the manual in more detail and with pictures.  What function does the set chip perform?

Thanks,
Wayne

A friend has the procedure for using the Set chip. I asked him to send
it to me (in the mail). Hopefully it comes this week.  He made it sound
like a rather convoluted procedure.
