is the key a barrel or flat?    you could bypass the reset switch and get the game into the play mode.  with the power off,  remove the two wires that are on the reset switch (note there position, you will have to replace them after doing this)   take a paper clip and bend it so the two ends will connect the two connectors from the switch, wrap it with electrical tape so nothing is exposed and not touching any metal, close the door, turn on the machine for 5 sec.  then undo the bypass and put the wires back on the switch, hopefully this should have put you in the mode you need to be in.

Hope this helps

the  other option to try the same thing with the door open.

another thing I would do on Sigma games was to change a setting on one of the dip switches, then when you power it up it knows you changed a setting and will ask to reset the machine for the new change to take effect,  then after you effect the change change it back to where it was and do the same procedure again.

Jim

I wanted to thank you, Today I played with the machine. I unplugged the reset wires while the top was open and the game was on, hooked a paper clip to them, as soon as I disconnected it the machine turned on, it works great. I think I got a good deal on it, paid $5 for the machine:)

John

do you know where I could get a cash box for a sigma slant top, I noticed the light on the bill accepter is on but it does not work. ( makes no noise when I turn the machine on )  Is that because its missing the cash box?

I have several of them laying around,  I take them out of every machine. The reason, they are difficult to remove if you don't have the proper unit used to remove them. usually you had to stick a thin piece of material to push on the release prongs on each side of the stacker, a credit card or old players card worked great for this.

the other thing was to tape the bottom switch . to pretend that the stacker was actually there ,even though it had been removed, and lastly the door had to be closed where the stacker was, we would bypass this switch.

Most sigma's had older 135, or 145 heads in their machines, you talking only old money, you might be able to find a 200 head SH with a IDO -011 and a newer black power supply with vents on it.

Don't know if its worth the hassle or expense IMHO.

Hope this helps

Wonder what they did with them?  Scratch Head
