Just picked up  a Game King showing a touch screen error.  I swapped with a working monitor/TS controller and error went away.  So, I swapped the TS controller on the original monitor and TS error came back again.  I'm thinking that it's not the TS controller board, but the actual TS itself.

Do those really go bad?  Could it be something else?  I removed the black tape and it looks good to me (given that I don't know what to look for).

I dread the thought of buying a whole new TS for a 15" LCD monitor ... probably cheaper to buy the whole monitor from Rudy's.

IGT older all used ceronix monitors. Not sure about the GameKing but I think so.
Came with a 2yr warranty but outside of warranty period they will do a montior swap for a flat $45.00
There are exclusions regarding the touch screen but I am sure you can call and chat with them.
Here is a link to the details. http://www.ceronix.com/products_warranty.html

Check for grounding issues on the problem touch screen. The pad itself can go bad but more commonly it'll be a grounding issue. Good luck...

Thanks to all.   Hail

It's a 15" LCD by Wells Gardner with a 3M Touchscreen and with the older style controller.  I'm going to pull out the magnifying glass and start looking all around it.  -Dave

Whew!  It was just a bad wiring connection. lightning bolt  Jiggling the wires made it come back to life, so I'll work on securing them.

As always, thank you for your help!
