Has anybody had their slot machine or video poker door re-chromed?  If so how much does it cost?  Also any ideas on how to touch up where the chrome has flaked off.  Thanks   PS First post.

I would think you could probably get a new machine for the cost of a proper re-chroming.

One option might be simply sand the area smooth if there is damage.

Quite often there is damage on the top right of the cabinet where people would "break" rolls of quarters or on on the button deck where the hand would rub just below the spin button.

Then use a crome paint followed by some spray varnish.

You hit the nail on the head Jay....when considering the labor involved in dismanteling the door, the harnesses, the buttons, shipping or transportation of the door to shop for a rechroming, plus the service itself...you will typically have about $250 to $300 invested with each door.
