This board was/is in the top of my S+. Mounted in the back left corner.  I assume it is some type of SAS/accounting board?
The odd thing is that the chips in the board are marked BallySys?  Scratch Head  Just curious as to why its in there?

It's a Bally SDS board. The machines have to have a network board that suits the casino system. The main network players back in the day when boards used chips in sockets like that were IGT (SAS), Bally (SDS) and CDS, now absorbed by Aristocrat. SDS was very popular in New Jersey.

I don't think any of these boards is useful to home users.

I have a few as well but no real casino to hook them up to... rotflmao

haha...Can you imagine if I plugged my home machine wirelessly into Harrahs back room computers?
They'd freak out...and I'd be behind bars in some southern state awaiting execution... Tongue Out

I thought this was a good thread for those that
are having a hard time identifying an unknown board.
Including one I have recently obtained:

This was made in 1992 by IGT.
the only thing I have is an ASSY NO. 7542200

Would anyone know what this is?
It has five 2-pin jumpers and 2 headers.
One header is a 4-pin while the other is a 6-pin header.
It also has 2 LED lights a red and a green one.

Mark   would that be the one mounted on the back wall of the S+    the one that is needed for communication with the top box of a Barcrest ?

sounds alot like it.     normally it is used in conjunction with a card reader system
