Slot Losers of America / Tokie Owens

« on: October 28, 2009, 04:08:49 PM »

Some people like the convenience of a bill validator as they do not have to put money or tokens in the machine for play. I for one like playing for "coins" and not for credits. Then I cash out and place the coins in the machine again. Another thing is that if you have guests over, you can give them 80 coins in a coin tube (if 25 cents denomination, then equals 20.00 dollars of play). It is harder to "give" credits as many people might to play more than one machine. Like for example, I hit the test switch until I get to the hopper test and just have it spit out 80 coins to equal 20 dollars and play with that. I also brought up the discussion of "Scrip for DBA"s" here a while ago and got some intresting discussion out of that. Just would like to know how people feel here.

On Sept 3rd, that topic kind of ended when
it was found to be a lot easier just to "tokenize" the value
of the coins inserted by using an SP chip that has that option.
No one that I know of has gone through the entire gambut
of trying to develop a scrip that would work in any DBV.
It's NOT an easy process I afraid... bawling
