I just found this machine in a house I am working on. I don't know much other than it has one alien slot game on it. The screen has a notice of a coin jam and a low main battery. Both batteries appear to be spot welded is this right any special techniques to remove the old batteries. Can I add more games to this model. How much do new game cost, any help is appreciated.
Chris

That is Little Green Men, your coin battery is causing the error, you have to solder a new one in, the Green on recharges as the machine is on, you can check the voltages with a digital volt meter, they should be 3.6 volts min when new, the coin cell battery is Lithium and is a BR2330 or eqiv. and the Green battery is a 3.6 is a Nicad

Mark- The keyswitch accesses the "privileged options" configuration screen for some chipsets.

Chris- Welcome to NLG.  Yes, it is possible to have different games in that machine.  You have the newer Game King board in there that uses SIMMs.  There are a range of games that will work in there -- pricing depends on the game and availability from a vendor.  You may wish to post in the classifieds section if you're interested in purchasing a different game, or send a message to one of our vendors (including Jim from Blue Ridge Slots who replied in this thread -- he's a great vendor who usually has access to a bunch of different games).

My Game King has an older EPROM-based board that uses chips instead of SIMM cards.  Mine is set up with player-selected multiple video poker, keno, slot, and blackjack games like most of the Game Kings at the casino.  Based on the glass on that machine and the button deck, it likely was originally configured like that and someone upgraded to the newer board with the Little Green Men slot game.

The machine is a Game King with I Game Plus software. I Games will have a two row button deck. With an I game installed you will have to use the touch screen to place the number of lines bet.

PXL = Pixel

the simms replaced the pixel chips of older sets, the same way the CGF Simm did the CG Eproms of early, on the pixles it can be 1, 2 or 3 PXL Simms in a set of software, and then to expand the reach of the board the some of the very latest I+ Simm based themes use 4 GME (Game) chips, and populate the board by using the exixsting PXL sockets for the other 2  Game Chips, also GK 5.0 used 4 Game Chips as well since it has so many Slot Themes on that set,

Uhmmm, like what, it has a Pixel Card, Base and 2 Game Chips, the Sound Board is the old type with Eproms and that was common on some early games, what you talkin bout Willis?

So it is possible to have several games on here or is this board only set to one game. The machine ID is dated for 1999 and some of the boards are 2000.  Is this newer board a more desirable setup or is the older boards.

Thank you for all the input.
