Our Small Gathering

  I wanted to say I really enjoyed visiting, and in this case meeting Captain Happy.  

So I wasn't really expecting it but we had a small get together Friday night and Saturday.  Captain Happy, Stat, Buzz and I spent allot of time out in the ManCave.  

I learned a few things from them all.  I also made Stat do some thinking of some things on an S+ he hadn't dealt with for a while.  Doing the thinking he got my Jackpot Jungle working correctly.  Of course it's a terrible payback but at least it works now.  Thanks Stat.

What I really wanted to bring up was the fact that I found Buzz playing a game.  I wish I would have taken proof of it but there are other witnesses.  

The same game was very popular with Captain Happy and Stat but am wondering if it's because there was a recliner in front of it or if the game was that fun.  I'm thinking both.  Anyway the game is an s2000 vision slant top called Shooting Gallery and I know that Captain Happy offered about 100 times to store it for me at his place so I had more room for more games.  I told him I would only feel safe if he gave me the keys to his storage unit and I went and made room for it there.  He didn't get the game and I didn't get the address or keys.  

I'm thinking we need to do this more often.  Maybe get some more people and have a big party.  Anyone up for it??

I bought it last year and I had never heard of it either until I seen it then I had to have it.   It's quite an unusual game.  It's got great sounds and a pretty fun bonus game. 

As far as the recliner....... everyone behaved and shared.  I didn't have to separate them.

We'll have to do this again.  Obviously not on the 4th but it would definately be great to get a bigger gathering.

What's the bonus do on your game?

You get to shoot at beer bottles and if you get the correct beer bottle then you get to shoot at liquor bottles above the beer bottles.  The number of bullets depends on how many you get between bonus rounds.

Bunker, this is one of three vision slant tops we have. There wasn't room to plop your elbows on the machine right now but I think plopped in the recliner pushing the buttons looked pretty fun with the other guys.    

The Balloon Bars vision machine we have isn't very fun but we are saving it for when we find a Slingo kit to put in it. 

I'll try to get a video of the Shooting Gallery bonus game tomorrow and post it.

I was the the final winner of the recliner! It was comfy to sleep on! We had a great time visiting the mancave casino, and we will have to do it again for sure. Ron sure has a great MANCAVE CASINO!!!

I snuck in and got what I wanted (SHHHHH Do not tell Ron and the Gang!!!) while they were sleeping, and it is packed in my trailer to go with me tomorrow when I leave Buzz's place!!!

Got to get back to the movie!!!! (That will be my alibi!!!) Thanks again Ron for a great mini get together!!!

Because of my allergies and asthma, I have spent a few nights sleeping in that recliner.  It is very comfy to sleep in.  I hears pictures don't really do justice to our
ManCave and is best seen in person. 

What you don't know CH is while you guys were in getting tacos I got in the back of the trailer and got my game back.   I even found a keychain with a couple keys on it that said "Storage Unit" with a note that has an address on it.

It's nice NOT to hear those meters running and when I get a chance I will be 'fixing' the other ones too.  Thanks for that tip.  And Stat, thanks for getting my mystery game to not be a mystery anymore and of course Buzz, thanks for the use of yet another stand.  When did you say you wanted these back??

Yea, we'll all have to do this again and maybe you guys know a few other people to bring along.  You know I have plenty of parking and room for tents    Shoot, so does Buzz for that matter.

Looks like the SoCal chapter of NLG has met! Maybe there should be chapters all over the US and we can have informal get-togethers on a monthly basis. When I go to bettor Slots, it's like a mini-NLG meet anyway! (Just for the record Jim, I don't visit as often because you have to get some work done!)

We aren't in SoCal.  I think we are all in NV, Area 51 if I remember correctly

Next time laptops should be brought.  Watching CH try to check mail and check NLG on his phone was kind of funny.  Stat took a couple pictures so maybe he will email them to me or post them up here.   

I did forget to mention that not only did CH want the Shooting Gallery but SF wanted the 5 reel Crystal 7.  Buzz didn't want anything.  Oh wait, yea he did.  He wanted a couple boards I had here for a machine he has at home.

Check your battery!!!  

  Contact the manufacturer.  Don't bring it back here.  I finally got something outta my house (and I am NOT talking games cause you can't have it )  You are still over there?  You should pop in one more time to play Shooting Gallery before going home.  It'll give you something to dream about on your way home.  

I'm kind of surprised that no one has heard of this game.  I didn't think it would be that unusual.

O..man,I missed the small gathering here in AV Valley(Ron-man cave) i hope you'll have it again soon.I was in Las Vegas, just got back from Vegas couple hours ago. got to met Kirk and his wife and his2 dogs.small gathering in his cool game room.

 :103-Yea you did but that's OK.  I am sure this won't be the only one and hopefully we will have another one with more people before you leave for home.   It was pretty nice and pretty fun (at least to me).  Unfortunately the boys couldn't spend too much time in the house because of my brother having to work but still they got to play on the 'good' machines for a while.  Captain Happy didn't even get to see 5 of the machines because they were hidden in the bedrooms but maybe next time he can see them.

And BTW sommer, you are always welcome out here anytime I am home.  And if you need storage for your pinball machine just let me know, I WILL make room for it here.

Here is a picture of a decent hit that I got on Ron's my 5-reel Crystal Sevens , and one of the gang in the main Cave.
The Crystal Sevens is was situated between his living room and kitchen. I had stashed the machine in the back of my Corolla, but Ron managed to get it back before I left!
