Ok, I know it's probably not, but for the past 2 years I have been looking and looking for information about this darn dinosaur, I know it's an e2203-17. And in the 'book' Bally Slot Machines - Electro-Mechanicals 1964-1980 I found a line that states...
'these machines (a picture of an E2203, E2238 and E1202) were generally linked to a largo progressive meter for super jackpot or could be used independently offering a large jackpot. The E2203 a 3-coin, 4 reel multiplier and the E2238. a 3-line, 5 reel slot were E versions of the earlier 1202 & 1203.

I haven't seen any other pictures of this machine other than mine, so i have naturally come to the assumption that it is the rarest machine ever made.

Anyone know anything more, have any more in depth knowledge of this machine? Anything?

QM

that looks like a 3 line, 3 reel, not a 1 line 4 reel, but maybe?

.... and no, it actually works really well, but thank you.

unless you have a progressive unit laying around that works, installs itself and is cheap Smiley

Hay there quasimodem.

Check the New File area for Bally info.  Also check out this photos, its the guts of one of those progressive you mentioned.  They are not very popular because there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on them.  Also, check out my profile photos- I have a nice E1202 in there.  The glass identifies a progressive but the machine has no internal progressive, unlike my E2344.  So I don't know about your  E2203 being "the rarest" but suffice to say there numbers are dwindling.

Cheers

Nice machine Jslots.  Is that an E2000 with a credit meter?  Never seen one of those in the flesh yet.  Cool.  Clap

jslots, what is the highest win that you've hit on that 5-reeler?

Yes it is an E2000 with a credit meter . The best i hit so far was 4 stars & that's only 50 credits. I have been playing the heck out of it & have not hit five of anything yet. Duh! Resorts International must have made a fortune from this machine, but it's still fun to play.  arrow What I like about it other than  being a 5 reel is the height. That top glass really stands out. Was also an easy machine to fix.

that piece of glass will be hard to find like HENS TEETH - the credit machines were not in service that long - plus most of the later glass was not mylar protected.  The only guy who MAY have that glasss would be Frank at CASINOGLASS.
