I just picked up a Pole Position II Cockpit,  had to take it from southern Georgia to southern Virginia.  Mostly made it without any problem but after I got back I found that the monitor was never bolted down so,  yep,  it slid back and smashed the neck.  Anyway,  I threw in a monitor out of my Kangaroo game and it works fine except for the bad, bad, sound.  I noticed that it has 6x9 speakers in it that just don't look right for the cutouts they are screwed to and was wondering if anyone know what size speakers this game actually came with?
Thanks
-Mike

Hi Mike,

I also have one of these machines have a look in my profile for the picture
other than some scratched up artwork its very nice.
I have since moved it from my game room to storage so I can't check the speaker size at this time
but I do have the manual I will have to dig that out and get back to you.
Did you check inside the machine sometimes they hide the manual in the bottom
that back door swings open I'm sure you know this since you replaced the monitor
anyway if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it ?
not many sit down cabs like this around and the #2 version is even better since you can play
4 different  tracks the original had only 1 track.

Thanks Tim,  I looked all over and couldn't find any paperwork hidden anywhere.  I would like to get a look at that manual you mentioned if not too much trouble.  Oh,  before I forgot,  I paid $204.51 for the game, 600 miles each way to get it and a night at a microtel inn.  Well worth the trip, blue sky's all the way there and back.

Mike,

That's not a bad price always fun to take a road trip for a new toy
well I dug up the manual and here is the info for the rear speakers

Part# 148001-001- 6x9 Oval 4-ohm 15W unshielded High Fidelity Speaker

I could probably have a copy made of the manual for you
this manual covers Operation,Maintenance, and Service with Schematics
about 60 pages.
