These are the little little things you plug in place of the meter to stop that never ending clicking from the mechanical meters.  There is a thread or two somewhere on these.  Save yourself the hassle of buying the parts and proper crimper and the time to assemble and test.  Since I needed a bunch of these I bought lots of parts and already had the proper crimper and then taught my 14 year old daughter how to make them so she made up a bunch.  Told her she cold keep all the money if she can sell them.  So I am helping her sell them by posting here.  Will help her put up an ad on eBay soon (will probably try to get $15 for them - she could use the money).  They are yours for $10 each plus $5 shipping for any quantity (priority mail).  Just email if interested.  Can do PayPal, check, cash or credit card.

I hate to rain on your parade but it's a waste of time and funds to remove and add another molex connector. All you have to do is cut wire 3 and 8 off the meter side of the harness and tie together (disconnect connector to meter board in the process and leave off).     You can do the molex side if you prefer, just disconnect the meter end of the molex harness.    You can put back at anytime in the future should someone need to hear the loud meters or use them for data collection.  The above and be done with no tools other than a wire cutter and electric tape.

The extreme clean way would be to loop PIN 3 and 8 in a new molex which I am not sure you are doing?   Old way was to use 5W 10 Ohm resistors before the 3 to 8 was known.

1 Molex 12 PIN Ckt rcpt Housing    $1.50 (aprox)
2 Molex PIN mini-fit  JR. connectors  22 cents (aprox)
6 inches of wire

I do support you making a few extra $ for the kids but for some folks $15 is not spare change.

The full how to with pictures was on the other thread of the forum.

This is the link for the original thread as well as pictures of the molex with pins 3 and 8 jumpered.

A slot collector is like a coin hopper in a machine that never pays out.  they just keep on accumulating assets.
