I've been away from the forum for a while, but a new slot project just jumped into my game room - a 3CM Triple Dollars.  I just got home and gave it a once over, and found something in the top box that wasn't hooked up to anything.  Does anyone know what it's for?

My other question is about the 'Mystery Reel Action' version of the game.  Can the 'regular' game be changed to the mystery action version, and if so is it just a new chip but using the existing reels?  I admit I haven't done a ton of research yet, but it looks like Triple Dollars might be a clone of Triple Diamond.  If that's so I'd guess that using the Triple Diamond Deluxe game chip would give you the mystery action because there aren't any symbols with nudge arrows on them to let you know when or where it'll jump.  Am I off base here?

The Mystery Reel Action takes a new Game and Reel Chip (it is a hidden nudge feature any symbol can go to the payline) I think type 20 and definitely not a 0,1,4,5 game.

I don't know what that is you found in the top box.The obvious thing that it powers a topper of some sort.

You can use the Triple Diamond game as a mystery game because it has the same pay table. See Rick's FAQs.

Those orange things in the topbox are "Single-Pole & Double-Throw" relays.
These are electronic switches really - for something now not being used...
I suspect that they were once being used to switch on
some type of bonus lighting when a Jackpot was hit?  Scratch Head 3

It was hooked up to an output from the machine at between 5 to 6 volts DC...
I'm thinking the perhaps maybe the output of
the Jackpot bell board connector on the motherboard???
However they're rated at 10 Amps!!
It could very easily ran some type of motor or a strong electrical fan!
Maybe it was for a confetti cannon!   rotflmao

Speeking of the jackpot bell, this is the first S+ out of the 4 I've had that came with a jackpot bell.  I'll have to look at the settings to see what the options are.

Basically, you have it ring during all wins, or limited it to handpays or the Jackpot.
Or....you can disable it.
I personally like keeping it ready for the Jackpot because
when that puppy starts ringing - I wanna start jumpin' around! lol

Ring on all wins gets pretty annoying after a while.
It also alerts the wife I am in the basement.
I have it ring on jackpot only.

Sounds like a cat with a bell around it's neck!  She can tell when you're doing something you're not supposed to when she hears the ring!
