Man staz, I feel for ya buddy.  Aside from a new board, taking it out back to the woodshed and shooting it, might be the only thing left.   arrow

I'll let one of the experts chime in here, but it stands for "Non-recoverable RAM (Random Access Memory)."  Does turning the jackpot key or powercycling the machine do anything?  I honestly think the board or another component may be going by the wayside per the last enormous thread that many chimed in on.

Pet it, talk nicely to it, wipe it down regularly, and give it clean power...maybe it will respond nicely.  LOL!

I'd reseat and/or replace  power supply and see if that works, but you don't listen to what anyone advises anyhow, so why ask?

The Power Supply that tilt saying you need to reseat is behind the reels.
Steps needed
1 Open Door
2 Turn off the power switch.
3 grab the base of the reel where the number is for each reel
4 pull each reel out gently place them where they do not fall over
The Power supply is that big metal box behind the reels
There is a screw on the left side of (flat head)
5 Loosen the screw until you slide the powe supply to the left it will be hard to pull.
6 push it back into place and tighten the screw.
7 replace reels 1 left reel 2 middle reel 3 right reel
8 turn machine on and let it boot.
if any errors clear them but remember or write down exactly what they say.
9 close door

Basically hat is the AC power distribution, Communications board, and 12V supply for the Lamp there might be something else inside that area but I cant remember what.
look between the reels you will see a metal cover with holes in it. that is the actual low voltage power supply (13 and 25 volts DC)

i slided the power supply to left, what a pain in the ark.....  then pushed it back in place, tightened up screw, poped the reels in and turned it on and had no errors come up, all it did was initialize netplex and booted right up...... does that mean my power supply is good.... that box was warm though.... is that normal??... this machine has sooo many wires and harnesses all over the place.....

I bet you have short somewhere. I had this exact problem and the short would cause my game to lose it's memory and give me a RAM error. I would clear the error and play for a while and BAMM... There it was again...

I trouble shot this issue for two days. It turned out that one of my connectors from the button deck (from a button that was not in use) was touching the door frame (ground). I would double check and make sure nothing is touching something it's not supposed to.

Good Luck!

That's so true Mr.Bellman!
Unused tab connectors on the ends of wires will cause the strangest things.
It's best to cover these unused connectors up with a piece of electrical tape.

One thing that's always bothered me is why they don't always have covers
on the back of exposed reel glass display boards.
It's especially true of S+'s.

Anyways, I agree with Staz that there's a lot of wires in an S2000 -
but remember Staz, each one of them has a purpose and if any one of them
are damaged or exposed, it will cause a short.
You need to start checking around all over the machine to see the condition of your wiring.
Make sure all your connectors are fully seated into each other.
This means pulling them apart to see how the pins look and reconnecting them.

I'm glad you're keeping the exterior of your machine clean -
but the inside needs to be maintained as well...

By the way - your spelling is improving!  rotflmao Crazy Tongue Out
