i ordered a new cc16 12vdc comparitor for my sg50 double cherries (quarter) and the vendor is asking me if this is for an s+ or s2000 machine....i have no idea!!

The vendor is asking if it is an S+ or S2000.  We know it is a Sigma machine.

tell the vendor that you require a cc-16d/12vdc/with inhibit.  green wires going to the coil on the back.  the inhibit feature allows the unit not to accept money without turning off the power to the unit. the green led is on as soon as you apply power.

jim...isnt the 16d for dollar coins?...the unit in my machine says "cc16" its a quarter machine

cc-16,cc16d,cc16X, doesn't matter what the revsion letter is ! it is a small denomination coin comparator. That unit will accept nickles, quarters, and half dollars.

cc-33 is for dollar coin.

why are you ordering a new one? is the one you have bad?  did you adjust the sensitivity of the unit? turn the adjusting screw all the way ccw.

Jim....the trap that diverts the coin....isnt opening,,,,,,i adjusted the screw all the way ccw.....still wont work....the red LED is lit...its getting power....
