Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I thought I'd post my findings playing around with the Bill Validator settings.  Here's the scoop:

Bally GameMaker Bill Validator Settings

The US settings match the bills, but here's what happens when you choose other settings:

US (Default)   (3)      (4)      (5)      (7)
1      100      10      1000      10
2      200      20      2000      25
5      500      50      5000      50
10      1000      100      10000      100
20      2000      200      20000      250
50      5000      500      50000      500
100      10000      1000      100000   1000
200      20000      5000      None      2000
500      None      10000      None      None

So, when you do a RAM SET CLEAR, and change the channel for the Bill Validator, it will react accordingly.

Example 1:  If you set it to channel 5, when you plop in a $1.00 bill, it will reward you with $1000.00 in credits.  If you plop in a $20.00 bill, it will give you $20,000.00 in credits.  If you plop in a $100.00 bill, it will give you $100,000.00 in credits!

Example 2:  If you set it to channel 4, when you plop in a $1.00 bill, it will reward you with $10.00 in credits.  If you plop in a $20.00 bill, it will give you $200.00 in credits.  If you plop in a $100.00 bill, it will give you $1,000.00 in credits!

I think you get the idea.

Also, if you tokenize your game, you can make the quarters (or whatever you put in it) to be whatever value you choose (I set mine as $1000).  So when I drop a quarter in, it thinks I just plopped in $1000.00!

Now I know what you're thinking.  I can't put more than $3,000 in the machine because of the stupid legal "laundering the money" issue.  Well... Surprise... I fixed that too!  See the other post for the Jurisdiction settings!
