I finally found a Triple Double Diamond & a Double Black Jack.

Question,
Was there a specific year they stopped making Non-back-lit reel strips? I have found out that the wider reel strips, possible S+,  will work on non-back-lit S2000 reels..

My reel strips are like new but I believe they are non-back-lit, on both kits.

I've noticed several of the Casino's I go to now are using some of these kind of reel strips. They use them with back-lit reels

They are washable & are very nice in color.

If you could show us a picture of the back of one of those strips  -
I'd be able to tell you more.
Are there numbers printed on the back near the bottom?

The simple answer:
Since some themes came out for the S+.
IGT may or may not make S2000 back lit or regular strips
It just depends on their supply of strips for that theme.
Also vendors may have put the kit together from glass and strips they acquired over time.

This is starting to piss me off.  muted  ttth
I haven't even put up a post today yet and I get that stupid message!   hissy fit

Anyways, here's some differences between S+ strips.
I will show the differences between S2000 strips this evening...>>>

So upset I forgot to upload the pictures I took...>>>

ADD>>> I can't understand why the website allowed me to post the pictures 15 seconds
after my last post but won't let me post the above post?
Plus the timer shows like almost 2 minutes elapsed
when in fact, I entered both within 20 seconds or so? POS Computer

Anyways, Both the different colored backlit strips are 3-5/16" in width.
The NON-backlit strip is narrower...
All of these strips are washable because they all have the protective coating over the symbols.
For some reason, IGT made some real cheap strips for a while that fade to hell
and cannot be washed or the ink will smear.

Here's a rotten story: The top black backlit S+ strip I purchased from a vendor who folded them!   bawling
What an idiot! They totally ruined them! The laminate is separated apart where every crease is.
The only way to possibly save them is to heat them under a towel and a clothes iron... hissy fit

Needless to say, I will never buy anything from them again.  ttth

Grey backed strips are considered Vision Strips can be used back lit but light shows through around symbols
Black backed back lit strips are S2000
White backed strips are S+ or S2000
wide strips can only used in S+ baskets (on S+ or S2000 reel setups) the optic fingers are the same for both machines.

Most S2000 without back lit baskets are using S+ reel baskets (why reinvent the basket if you don't need to do so)

I don't think so...below are photos I just took:
These are the gray strips with a fluorescent light behind the strips.
I don't see any additional light showing through the backing?

Are yours washable? Mine are and they are very thick strips actually.
858717 00 series Hi-Glossy Gray Backlit strips. Original IGT OEM strips.
There's no extra light shining through them or around the outside of the symbols...

My Triple Double Diamond & my Double Black Jack have the White backing as shown in Bunker's photo. They must be S+ & S2000,  & will fit S2000 Non Back-lit reels.
The T.D.D. & the D.B.J. came with the narrower strips & fit the S2000 Back-lit reels.
Interesting is,
When I was cleaning one of the Black Jack strips I accidentally  folded it over and it cracked. I called the person I got it from & they sent another strip. The replacement strip was wider & would not fit my S2000 back-lit reels. I did not want to cut the reel strip!!
I called my slot tech., Foster,  & he suggested installing the strip on a S2000, Non back-lit reel. It fit perfectly. Then I changed out the other two strips, which were narrower & they  also fit.

I want to thank everyone  for their help.
R.
I got some strips in the mail that were sent in a small box & were folded. One strip was bent in two different places.
They will be shipped back tomorrow. Folding strips is  a bad idea.
