Hey guys,

I'm not sure what the technical term is called.  The board inside the door that has all of the lights that display "Insert Coin" etc...it's displayed in blue.  The display on my machine...the letters and numbers all stay in one place.  I've noticed that other S2000 machines have a display allows the text and numbers to scroll to the left/right and it seems like they do other things as well...basically a more dynamic display.  Is this something that can be changed on my machine or does it require other components to be upgraded?  I hope everyone understands what I'm trying to describe.

Thanks,
Jason

That's the VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display), and you can change the version chip as long as you have the GME chips that supports both the multi-denomination ( I believe that's what you're referring to, with the split display that tells you what the cash equivalent of the credits on the machine or credits won is) and the game you have installed.

We'll need to know the game and the GME chip version.

VS011GX1 should already be a multi-denom, I'll defer to others as I lost all my notes back in March.

Not to derail the topic, but are you saying that I could turn my machine into a multi-denom machine too?  I would love to keep it a quarter machine but have have the ability to switch between denoms.

It's an S2000, so yes. You just need to buy all the parts and install them.

What parts are needed to do it?  The denomination sticker is the only one I know of.  LOL!

So Buzz, I checked out the following topic, and it looks like I can do this.

http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=8363.10

However, I'm guessing I'll need another button to cycle through the denoms?  I apologize for the ignorance.  I looked up under where the other button would go, and it looks like there is addtional wiring/connectors under there.  I hae a 31 chip...looks like it should work.  Any additional suggestions?

I would suggest you remove that big green battery, it will eat away at your board.

Used the "pliers" method last week.  Worked like a charm!  Thanks again Dan!

Actually guys, this is what I was referring to:

Look at the Cigar VFD on Jim's YouTube video:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/6gZeKOuWm2U&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/6gZeKOuWm2U&rel=0</a>

Now look at the Tabasco VFD on Jim's YouTube video...this one is how my RW&B BTP is displayed, and I was hoping to make it look like the Cigar VFD above.  Is there an adjustable setting to accomplish this or is this a limitation with certain machines?

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/uot3JoJatF0&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/uot3JoJatF0&rel=0</a>

Thanks!
Jason

Oh, by the way, I want to publicly thank Dan aka usautoservice for the parts to get my machine set up for multi-denom.  Much appreciated Dan!  Below is a photo and thanks again for the help guys!
