Well,
I did it...here's the S+ being played via an old remote car starter.
The perfect gadget for those who want to play a game or two from your easy chair?

stay tuned....this station is having technical difficulties....video is being processed at the moment...

Howdyaknow that was my next idea? lol
I was gonna install DBV 200's on the golf carts at my home golf club next year...
The DBV's would run a timer like on those kiddy/horsie rides....nah just kidding.
Golfer's are basically too slow...they'd leave the cart on the 16th fairway somewhere...
Anyways, if anyone wants a cheap remote and instructions on how to hook a remote up to your machine
(Any machine really), let me know and I'll pass it on to you.
I'm gonna need a few days to see if I can make a Fortune 500 company outta this! Tongue Out

It was really easy actually...
The remote car starter reciever runs on 12Vdc and can output 3 currents.
One is to start your motor, one is to open/lock a your doors, and the other turns on your headlights (Valet Mode).
I used the door lock output wire for the reciever and ran it to one side of a relay.
The relay can be screwed to the metal panel that holds all the coin chutes, and coin mech.
The other side of the relay is grounded to the machines door.
Then I ran one side of the relay to the "Play Max Credits" switch.
The other side of the "Play Max Credits" switch comes back to the other side of the relays switch.
There's two wires that go into the car starter reciever for power.
One is 12Vdc(+), the other is ground(-).
I spliced the 12Vdc power line off the DBV200's power supply, and grounded the other to the cabinet.
Everywhere inside an S+ that is metal is considered ground(-).
Last thing to do is plug in the soft wire antennae and run it to the top box and place it right behind the award glass for good reception.
I played 3 credits from almost 800 feet away!
When you power up the machine, the car starter reciever also powers up, along with everything else in a S+.
Put some credits on the display by either manually feeding it coins or throwing bills in the DBV.
When you have at least enough credits to play "Max Bet", that's when you can use the remote.
The door lock switch on the remote activates the relay- which in turn- activates the "Max Bet" switch for one pull.
The light (valet mode) switch on the remote activates the relay- which in turn- activates the "Auto-play" switch for about 30 seconds.
That can equal about 7 pulls depending on you NOT hitting anything.
If you hit a large win, then that uses up your allotted 30 seconds and you have to rehit the "Light"(valet) switch on the remote to get another 30 seconds of play.
If you dont have an "Auto-play" switch like I made, then a simple remote like the "Fart Machine" remote controller will work just fine for a "Play Max Credits" switch. I would remove the fartin' noises though Tongue Out

Where to get remote starter inexpensively,

I Googled and found this. I have no idea if the website or product is reputable.

For $35:

A guy on Flea-bay has some RF remotes that run on the 12VDC
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-CH-RF-Wireless-Remote-Control-Momentary-Toggle-Robot_W0QQitemZ200277235777QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBI_Robotics?hash=item200277235777&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Note that he's located in Hong Kong.... But shipping is not too bad. His remotes can be set for Momentary which is what the Max Bet button on the S+ machine is. Not latching.. no
He also has two, three and four channel receivers if you want to hook up more than just the Max Bet.

I found a place that sold the remotes, receivers etc but I cant think of who they are now.

I was looking for one as a separate remote device on a Honda Goldwing GL1800A.
A inexpensive anti-theft device
Never got anything from that site but did accomplish the task using a signal from the remote lock/unlock for the trunk and saddlebags.

That two channel one for $20 bucks total is cool!
It has screw terminals for NO/NC circuits.
I ordered one to try on my other machine.
I'm gonna program one channel for the "Max Bet"
and the other channel to activate the "Cash Out" switch so I can print a ticket!

Do S+ machines have Auto-Play? Or it that only a function on S-2000 machines? I don't recall any type of auto-play on my S+

No,
I made one with a small cheap 5Vdc reed relay from radio shack.
I attached it the the "Play Max Credits" switch.
After every spin is completed, I noticed the "Play Max Credits" light came on.
I used that as power to activate the reed relay to turn it back off!  rotflmao
Thus creating an "auto-play" switch!
Now, it's connected to the relay from the remote car starter.
That's how I get about 30 seconds of continuous reel play when I click on the "Light"(Valet mode) switch
on the car's remote keyfob.
That one is about 30 seconds of "latching" mode (about 7 pulls).
Whereas, the "Lock" switch on the keyfob is "momentarily mode"- you get one pull every time you click on it.

Cool, Now I get it.....
With that new controll you purchased it looks like you can program each channel for the momentary or the Toggle (latched) selection. Latched being push once for on, then push again for off. Then you can set the Max Bet for momentary and the second channel for latched to controll that reed switch for Auto-Bet. That way your not limited to the 30 seconds. You can turn it on and have it play until the credits run out. rotflmao rotflmao

I received the 4 channel one have not decided what to do with the extra 2 channels

I put the receiver in the S2000's stand.

The S2000 Max Bet is the C channel (top left button on remote) and the S+ Max Bet is the A Channel (top right button)
The S2000 is aldo providing the 12VDC (13V) for the receiver.

Now I can play a few tricks on my friends when they come over.

There is always the change light and bet 1 .....  kind of a subtle lead in.
Light comes on, your friends say.... Did you see that..... you turn it off.... and say see what ? then it comes on again as you look away ... he he...
Eventually friend walks over to the machine and you key in a few credits, perhaps one at a time. Wih each ding you accuse them of dropping coins in and tying to get your goat.....
