I have a question...does game behavior depend on the Base Chip only, or the Game chipset?
My RWB Big times Pay runs different than the regular BTP like the one below... on my game the 4th reel spins on every play, not just when a bonus symbol appears.  It goes instantly into the bonus mode, and it seems pointless for the 4th reel to spin on every play!
Is this a changeable setting???

From what I understand, the BTP Red White & Blue and BTP Wild Cherry both have the 4th reel spinning during play, so this would be normal.

Yep, it's normal on those games.  I asked too a few months ago.

Thanks,

After reading the start of this thread, I did a little experiment. I installed a SB100879 Big Time Pay Red White & Blue into a Big Time Pay ( SB100231 ) machine. The results were the 4th reel would spin on every play and the reel strips are no where near the same.

Hail  Hail  Thanks Buzz..I was curious about that, as I noted the pay tables were way different!
I was just wondering that if I used the original recommended SG chips SG000194's instead of the SG000363's I am using if it would run
more like the regular BTP.... frying pan

My guess would be no changes, but that's a guess.  I don't know the cut off point, but the lower SG chips will not let you have Multi Denom. I have a set of 129's and no MD the next set I have are 312's

If you don't have a set of 194's let me know and I will try a set of 129's and see what happens,

Thanks Buzz..no I don't have any 194's  I had to get the 363's from Tilt to get the game up and running.
Let me know what happens..and I am set up multi denom, which I prefer to keep.   yes

Well I already know you will loose MD with the 129's I have. ( been there, done that ) so let me try to find a set of 194's and see what happens. All this is just for the purpose of research, I'm bett'en all 4 reels will spin on every pull. ( But what the hell do I know, I'm a truck driver )    If I was smart,  I'd be rich like Capt. Happy.    stir the pot / get cooking stir the pot / get cooking stir the pot / get cooking stir the pot / get cooking

Well thanks for the research on my behalf.... Hail  Hail  Hail
I just fail to understand the necessity for the 4th reel spinning except when it's results actually count... Nerd

That function is controlled in the BASE CHIP, not the game chips. You WILL be right Buzz!!! Plus I think you are smarter than you let on! arrow Crazy wave

I don't think the RWB BTP games had a "start bonus" button on the button decks like the original BTP game, though -- I don't think it was ever designed to wait for player interaction if an eligible win was on the payline (perhaps in an effort to get in more spins per hour and drain wallets faster).
