A few months ago I purchased (2) S2000 Uprights. I notice that the sound options are very limited. For example on the Reel Stop Sound I only have "Solenoid" or β€œNone” as options. In the casinos this is not so, you can here all kind of different sounds out of the IGT S2000. Could anyone help or advise me to what I will need for acquiring more sound options?

Depends on what games that are installed as well as the DSVxxx sound cards.
Blueridge has another thread running right now on the subject of DSV sound cards.
What particular sound bytes are you striving to acquire?
Not all machines play the same sounds...

I do not believe I have a DSVxxxx card installed. So that is a start. The game I have is a RW&Blue. I will be adding back lit reels very soon and in addition I was hoping to acquire a better reel stop sound other than solenoid. Can these cards intergrate with any game?

The RW&B doesn't have any special sounds.
It's a fairly straight forward slot machine that has very generic sounds actually
and uses the built in sounds.
Unless you get one with some type of bonus reel game?
Maybe that'll spice it up a bit?
What is the number of the SB chip?

As far as DSV sound cards...combining them up with other SB chips
sometimes gives you different sounds -
other times you'll get an "Incompatibility" error message
that will pop up on the VFD display.

Now would be a good time for you to ask around and
see if anyone would have the PSR sheet for that chip.
The PSR will tell you what options are available for that chip.
I'm not quite sure however if it will tell you exactly which DSV sound card
would give you any "enhanced sounds" - if any.
Sometimes vendors like Blueridgeslots for instance -
may or may not have that sort of information?
They deal with these DSV sound cards a lot.

I'd start a completely different thread for that.
Has nothing to do with sounds.
                        or
Type in "back lit reels" in the search box up on top here, and see all the
wonderful thread and posts relating to that subject matter!

Try to solve your sound questions here 1st or people will get confused.

Give me a little time and I will install a DSV00042 SIMM into a R W & B  Wild Star ( that is as close as I have to your game ) and see what it sounds like. Let me add that you are going to need more than just a SIMM, you will also need a Multimedia Lite sound board. I talked to Blueridge and he has both for sale.

Will you please post a Pic. of your MPU board. Seems to me that I have seen at least one of them that didn't have the socket for a sound board.

Looks like your board passed the test.  I will go out to my storage trailer tomorrow and see what kind of sounds I can get from my machine.  I can say this already, what ever I get will be better than what you now have. I should re qualify that statement, nothing helps a Big Time Pay. at least nothing I've tried.  bawling bawling bawling

That MPU will use the MultiMedia Lite 2 board it goes on the 2 large Amp connectors
Make sure you ask for 2 stand offs for the MML2 Board so you can install it properly.

Now why would we want to do that instead of just pushing the MMBL2 into the large AMP connectors?
So the piggyback board doesn't fall off.
Believe me  - they do and you will NOT be happy to be digging out
a few more Washingtons outta your wallet because you neglected
to stick a couple of .10cent screws and standoffs onto the board.... rotflmao

Can his RWB as is be changed from legacy to enhanced sounds in the menu? That would at least give him a slightly different experience.

I got to thinking ( first sign of trouble ) I didn't have to go out in the cold and test a machine for sound. I burned a SB100155 Double R W & Blue and installed it in a Wild Cherry machine. Using a DSV00042 it sounds just like Fords DD Haywire in  The Best Hits thread posted today. Reply 1666

Well I guess that gives him two options that we know of. The only other SIMMs I have are for No Time Pay. and they are 8 MEG. Why I have 3  DSV00051 SIMMs and two BTP machines is had to figure.   Silly Me! Silly Me! Silly Me! Scratch Head Scratch Head

Ohhhh...will that DSV00026 also work in a S2000 Double Diamond Deluxe?  That looks like a Triple Diamond Deluxe Vision???

If so, I may need to ping blueridge for this DSV if it will work.  Anyone have any comments?

Thanks for all your input. Now in my other S2000 I do have the MMBL2 board installed on it. It is a Double Diamond Standard Game. Same thing no additional sound options. It is like the MMBL2 board is not recognised or the game does not support it. It also does not have the extra simm installed either, if that makes a difference.?? Could it be possible that these two games the RWB and the DDiamond do not support this technology?? If so I most likely need to upgrade to a game that does...... Scratch Head Silly Me!
any thoughts?????

No reason to have an MM2 installed unless there is a DSV SIMM installed.  Throw a DSV00042 in that Double Diamond and the doors that lead to music will be unlocked in your menus.

Thanks,
Jason

NO  what it means is, if you don't have a SIMM installed you might as well remove the MM 2 one is no good without the other. If you install a SIMM in one or both machines, you will receive different sounds than you now have.  You have watched both videos and listened to the sounds. I can see no reason why you will not receive something close to those sounds.

I have a Double Double Diamond, a Triple Diamond 5 Line, And a Triple Diamond 9 Line machines. I will install a DSV00042 in one of them if you like. If I had a SB100294 I would try it, but I don't.
