arrow Do the Bally Game Maker and The Bally EVO ram clear the same way? I have the ram clr chip and Am puzzled at this point on how to reset my EVO. I tried putting the chip in P10 and leaving my game chip in P1. Nothing.... I do have the ram clear and safe ram clear on dip 1 enabled also. Anyone have any tips for me?

Taken from the EVO manual:

SafeRAM™ Clear Procedure refers to erasing
information stored within battery-backed random
access memory (RAM). A SafeRAM™ Clear
Procedure is essential before the first use, when Main
program EPROMs are replaced, or if game memory
becomes corrupted.
For a SafeRAM™ Clear Procedure, locate DIPSW1
of the IOP board assembly and set switch 8 to ON.
Some versions of Main programs require a EPROM
labeled “V7S1000CLEAR-02” in socket U85 (P9).

I would try the Clear wthout the Clear chip first and if it doesn't work then use the clear IF it has the proper program designation on it.

Thanks, I got it working now. I was trying the p10 socket and nothing was happing. I finally got it working.

Now for another question... Can you put multiple games in an EVO like the game maker? It looks like you can enable more then 1 game in the setup menu. Could I buy more game eproms for the EVO and just swap out the cd to run the other games?

Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan, glad you got it up and running. I am not sure about multi-game capability for the EVO. I know it's predecessors the GameMaker and GameMagic had multi-game sets, but I am just not sure with the EVO. Another member here, JOHN42355 (rudysdeals) I believe has some software titles available for the EVO. I also included a snipet of a previous message from Wayne (a69mopar) on EVO titles. Good Luck!
