unless you need the meters you can disable them by just putting a 10ohm 5W resistor on the wire and remove the meter.    1 resistor per meter

1 wire 1 lead each to the resistor (2 wires total)

There are meters via the menus if you need to use it to keep track of $$

if you need the meters then you can get them new for cheap on eBay as they are just 12v standard meters as it does not pay to get used ones.

There's a far easier way to disable ALL the meters with a single
one wire modification. Someone told me this might work, but man
i can't remember who that was. I had a bad meter board once
and this solution made "fixing" the meter board easy.

I think I gave that one up to you.....

3 & 8 will disable them and the same can be done on IGT S2000 / I+ (pin 1 to 2, I have to double check the pins)

my question is this:
Why does this jumper have two different wires (Yellow & Black)
...is there a resistor of some type under the black tape?

that's not tape, that's heat shrink tubing. and
no, there's nothing between the two wires.
they are different color because i took a spare
connector that used those 2 pins, cut the two
wires out of the excess harness, and connected them
together. heat shrink tubing is the *only* way
to do this.

Also if you have good eyes you'll notice the connector
i used is 2 pins shorter than the original!
