ok, i bought this machine as "non-working" which is fine by me because parts is parts right?...well, i got it home yesterday and i put it on the bench (with help of course) anyway i plugged it in to see whats up with it....everything lights up coin accepter works even the step-ups only thing is it won't let me pull handle...i talked to gary (Amachanic) and he thought maybe the coil on the inside by the handle ...i had to pull out reel assembly to check readings with multi-meter and checks out..it is getting power and so is everything else so i don't know if i should just change coil ?  thanks

do a "2" test - this activates all the io in the machine - see if the coils activate (divertor - reels - and handle) - if they all activate in test - then it is a problem with IO or MPU board

Also check the two switches on the reel=mechanism. In the wrong position the coil will not be activated because the machine thinks the arm is allready pulled.

Happy new year to all of you

Look the air cylinder of the reel mechanism. I betimes got non working em and e series machines with the only defect of a non moving handle. The handle didn`t move because someone lubricated the piston cup seal with the wrong grease. The cup seal converts to’glueβ€˜ and you can`t move the link.

ok i did everything you guys suggested...the cylinder was sticky so i cleaned that up...i checked the two switches and they check out ok...i then did the test 2 and let that run for a while and watched everything....after i shut door to stop test i put coin in to see what would happen....at that time it did let me pull handle but i got a tilt light right away and an alternating 1 - 41....i did the reset and put a coin in again with the same results 1 - 41...what i don't understand is last night i did the test 2 and after i closed door it didn't seem to matter at all...then after more cleaning and (resetting chips) it wouldn't let me test at all...almost like the test button wasn't working at all ...i was about to give up when i noticed it finally worked...anyway   tilt 1 - 41  is what i have now (before reset)...thanks
